Over the past few weeks, many people have noticed fuel prices changing more frequently than usual. This is largely due to ongoing tensions and instability in the Middle East, a region that plays a major role in global oil production and supply.

When events affect oil producing regions, the global energy market often reacts very quickly. Oil prices are traded internationally and even small changes in supply expectations can lead to rapid fluctuations. As a result, the price of heating oil and fuel products in the UK can rise or fall at short notice.

At Quad Fuels, we believe it is important to keep our customers informed about what is happening in the market and how it may affect fuel prices locally.

Heating Oil Price Has More Than Doubled Since Iran War

Recent events in the Middle East have created significant uncertainty in the global oil market. Ongoing conflict in the region has disrupted oil production, shipping routes and energy infrastructure, all of which play a crucial role in supplying fuel worldwide.

One of the key areas affected is the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow shipping passage between Iran and Oman. This route handles roughly one fifth of the world’s oil supply, making it one of the most important energy transport corridors on the planet.

Due to the current conflict, shipping traffic through the region has been severely disrupted, with attacks on vessels and energy infrastructure raising concerns about the stability of global oil supplies.

Because oil is traded globally, changes in supply or demand anywhere in the world can quickly affect prices here in the UK. This is why events taking place thousands of miles away can have a direct impact on the cost of heating oil and fuel delivered to homes, farms and businesses.

Our Commitment

At Quad Fuels, we have always been committed to being open and honest with our customers about what fuel prices are doing.

Transparency is very important to us, and we always aim to keep you informed about the factors affecting the market.

Due to current market conditions, fuel prices are rising very quickly and can sometimes change multiple times before a delivery is made. Because of this, we are unfortunately unable to confirm or guarantee a fixed price at the time of ordering.

Fuel will therefore be priced at the rate on the day of delivery.

We understand that this can be frustrating, but this approach ensures that pricing accurately reflects the market at the time the fuel is supplied.

Orders & Deliveries Are Continuing as Normal

Despite the challenges currently affecting the fuel market, we want to reassure our customers that we are still taking orders as normal.

Our team continues to work hard to ensure deliveries are carried out as efficiently as possible, and we remain committed to supplying homes, farms and businesses across the region.

Demand for fuel can increase during periods of uncertainty, so we always recommend placing orders in good time where possible.

Thank You For Your Continued Support

We truly appreciate the continued support, patience and understanding of all our customers during this time.

Your loyalty means a great deal to us, and we thank you for your continued business.

Our team will continue to monitor the market closely and keep customers informed if there are any further significant changes.

If you have any questions about your order or current fuel prices, please do not hesitate to contact the Quad Fuels team.
