Just wanted to give all our Racing Family an update on Cal’s recovery from the Knockhill Injury.
Unfortunately things took a turn for the worst yesterday which has culminated in Cal having to taken back into surgery for a third operation.
Despite all the efforts of the Glan Clwyd surgical team to rescue the poor procedure done in Scotland and Cal’s strict regime of light physio the original plate snapped and his leg break opening up again meaning another operation to remove and replate the fracture, this time using a stronger plate and some bone graft.
The operation has been a success despite quite a bit of blood loss and now Cal can get back fit and back to how he was before the accident..
It might mean a quiet and chilled Christmas but hey ho.
Thanks for all the well wishes from close family who new he was in today and hope we are on our way to a full and fit recovery…
